1. Overview

This Privacy Policy describes how RedEyeX (“we,” “us”) handles information when you use the RedEyeX mobile application (the “App”). By using the App, you agree to this Policy.

2. Information we process

Depending on how you use RedEyeX, we may process:

Photos you choose to fix. When you run a red-eye correction, the photo you select is sent to our secure server so we can process it with AI and return the corrected image. We use it only to provide that feature.
On-device data. Fixed photos you save, and a local history of past fixes (if you use that feature), are stored on your device unless you delete them or remove the App.
Subscription data. Purchases are handled by Apple through the App Store. We do not receive or store your full payment card number. Subscription status may be provided to us through Apple and our subscription partner (RevenueCat) using identifiers needed to unlock Premium features.
Technical data. Basic request data (for example, to authenticate the App with our server) may be processed when you use the fix feature.

3. How we use information

We use information to:

Provide red-eye correction and related App features;
Maintain security and prevent abuse of our backend;
Manage Premium subscriptions;
Comply with law and respond to valid requests.

We do not use your photos for advertising, sell your photos, or train general-purpose AI models on your personal photos for unrelated purposes.

4. Face data and AI processing

When you use red-eye correction, the App accesses the photo you select, which may include facial and eye regions (“face data”) only as needed to detect and correct red-eye. We do not perform biometric identification or face recognition for identity purposes.

What is collected: The image you choose to fix (including eye/face areas visible in that photo).
How it is used: Solely to perform red-eye correction and return the edited image to the App.
Third-party AI: Your image is transmitted through our hosting provider to Google Gemini AI for real-time processing. Google processes the image on our instructions and only for this feature. See Google’s privacy policy at https://policies.google.com/privacy.
Storage and retention: We do not intend to retain uploaded photos or face data on our servers after processing completes. The corrected image is returned to your device; you choose whether to save it. Data exists on third-party systems only for the duration of the processing request.
Sharing: Aside from Google Gemini (for correction) and infrastructure providers that operate our API (e.g. hosting), we do not sell or share your photos for advertising.

5. Photo processing and retention

Photos are transmitted to our hosting provider and processed using third-party AI services (including Google Gemini) solely to perform red-eye correction. We do not intend to keep your uploaded photos on our servers after processing is complete. Corrected images are returned to the App; you may save them to your photo library on your device.

Processing time can vary based on network conditions and AI service load.

6. Sharing

We may share data only with service providers that help us operate the App, such as:

Cloud / hosting providers (for example, to run our correction API);
AI providers (to analyze and edit the image you submit);
Apple (for in-app purchases) and RevenueCat (for subscription management).

These providers process data on our instructions and only as needed to deliver the service.

7. Permissions

The App may ask for access to your photo library (to choose and save photos) and optionally the camera. You can deny or revoke permissions in iOS Settings; some features will not work without the relevant permission.

If you enable notifications, we may send you a local alert when a long-running fix completes. Notification permission is optional.

8. Children

RedEyeX is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children in violation of applicable law.

9. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect data in transit and on our systems. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.

10. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or object to certain processing, or to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent. To make a request, contact us at the email below. You can also delete on-device history and photos from your device at any time.

11. International users

If you use the App from outside the country where our servers are located, your information may be processed in other countries where our providers operate, subject to this Policy and applicable law.

12. Changes

We may update this Policy from time to time. The current version will be posted at https://alcisanati.com/redeyex-privacy.html. Continued use of the App after changes means you accept the updated Policy where permitted by law.
